Guitar, Bass, Fiddle and Mandolin Lessons
All lessons are private and customized to fit each student's needs and abilities. The emphasis is on playing material in which the student is most interested, along with technical studies and theory as deemed appropriate.
Guitar: all styles except flamenco and advanced jazz. Standard music notation is the norm for studies in classical or jazz and is offered to students of all styles. Tablature is the norm for rock, blues, fingerstyle acoustic, etc.
Electric Bass Guitar: Fretted or fretless, beginner through intermediate, all styles. Also theory, improv.
Fiddle: Beginner through intermediate old-time, bluegrass, country, Irish, blues, rock, jazz. Theory and improv are offered as well.
Mandolin: Various traditional styles including folk and bluegrass. Also theory, improv.
Tuition should be paid monthly and may be paid at any time during the month. The preferred method of payment is by personal check.
Lessons are contracted on a month-to-month basis. There is no enrollment fee and no long term commitment is required. For the most part, tuition remains the same every month. The student is guaranteed an average of 4 lessons per month. Consideration will be given for summer vacation, winter school break, spring break and medical emergencies.
Makeup lessons are not guaranteed but are given at the discretion of the teacher. The likelihood of a makeup lesson increases with the amount of notice of cancellation given.
